These Orchid pictures were taken at Longwood Botanical Gardens just south of Philadelphia PA and near the Delaware border. Longwood Gardens has both in door all year greenhouse and huge outside gardens with fountains and ponds. The gardens were donated by the Dupont family and are open 7 days aweek.

Orchids vary in color and size. They need to have a lot of
humidity to grow and just the right amount of sun. Orchids have a specific
growing season during the year and remain dominant for the other part of the
year. As you can see from the photos in my gallery, orchids are beautiful
flowers and a treasure to see in a greenhouse or in the wild in Hawaii and
other tropical spots in the world. |
